The Holy Father has appointed Bishop Zbigniew Zieliński as coadjutor bishop of the diocese of Koszalin-Kołobrzeg, Poland, transferring him from the titular see of Medeli and the office of auxiliary of the archdiocese of Gdańsk.
Curriculum vitae
Bishop Zbigniew Zieliński was born on 14 January 1965 in Gdańsk. After completing his philosophical and theological studies in the major seminary of Gdańsk, on 18 May 1991 he received priestly ordination for the same archdiocese.
In 1995 he continued his studies at the Catholic Academy of Theology in Warsaw (now the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University) where he was awarded a doctorate in sociology in 2004.
He has held the following offices: from 1991 to 1999 he was vicar of the parish of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Sorrows in Gdańsk and, from 1999 to 2000 in the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in Gdańsk-Oliwa; from 2000 to 2008 he was director of the Department for Pastoral Care of the Curia and has been Chaplain of His Holiness since 2007. From 2004 to 2006 he was a lecturer in sociology of religion at the State University of Gdańsk, from 2004 to 2007 he was parish priest of the parish of Saint Michael the Archangel in Sopot, and from 2007 to 2014, of the Cathedral of Gdańsk-Oliwa; and from 2014 to 2015, parish priest of the Concathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Gdańsk.
On 26 September 2015 he was appointed as titular bishop of Medeli and auxiliary of the archdiocese of Gdańsk, receiving episcopal consecration the following 24 October.
Within the Polish Episcopal Conference, he is a member of the Council for Social Affairs.

The Holy Father has appointed the Reverend Maciej Małyga of the clergy of the archdiocese of Wrocław, Poland, currently episcopal vicar for the ongoing formation of the clergy, as auxiliary bishop of the same archdiocese, assigning him the titular see of Dulcigno.
Curriculum vitae
Bishop Maciej Małyga was born on 11 May 1979 in Środa Śląska in the diocese of Wrocław. After his studies in philosophy and theology at the major seminary of Wrocław, he received priestly ordination on 22 May 2004 for the same archdiocese.
From 2004 to 2006 he served as vicar of the psrish of Saint John in Oleśnica, and from 2006 to 2012 he continued his studies at the University of Freiburg im Breisgau, where he was awarded a doctorate in fundamental theology.
He returned to his home diocese where he became spiritual father at the major seminary of Wrocław. In 2019, he was appointed as episcopal vicar for the ongoing formation of the clergy, and elected member of the Presbyteral Council. He became director of the House of Ongoing Formation of the Clergy.
In 2021 he was also appointed as spiritual father of the diocesan preparatory seminary.
