The Holy Father has appointed Bishop António Juliasse Ferreira Sandramo, until now titular of Arsennaria and auxiliary of the archdiocese of Maputo, as bishop of the diocese of Pemba, Mozambique.

Appointment of auxiliary bishop of Seattle, U.S.A.

The Holy Father has appointed the Reverend Frank Schuster, of the clergy of Seattle, as auxiliary bishop of the same archdiocese, assigning him the titular see of Irina.

Curriculum vitae

Msgr. Frank Schuster was born on 20 May 1971 in Mount Vernon, Washington, United States of America. He carried out his ecclesiastical studies in the Mundelein Seminary in Illinois (1994-1999). He was ordained a priest for the archdiocese of Seattle on 12 June 1999.

He has held the following offices: deputy parish priest of the Assumption parish and the Sacred Heart parish in Bellingham (1999-2000); university chaplain at the Western Washington University (2000-2003 and 2006-2007); and parish priest of the Assumption parish (2003-2007) and the Sacred Heart parish in Bellingham (2006-2007), of the Saint Teresa of Calcutta parish in Woodinville (2007-2021). Since 1995 he has served as director of the diocesan office for the formation of permanent deacons and, since 2021, parish priest of the Saint Vincent de Paul parish in Federal Way.
