Farewell ceremony from Hungary at Budapest International Airport
After celebrating Holy Mass at the conclusion of the 52nd International Eucharistic Congress, the Holy Father Francis travelled by car to Budapest International Airport where, at 14.30, the farewell ceremony from Hungary took place.
On his arrival, the Pope was welcomed by the deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Zsolt Semjén. After greeting the delegations, Pope Francis boarded an Alitalia A320.
The plane carrying the Holy Father took off from Budapest International Airport at 14.57 and landed at Bratislava International Airport at 15.35.

Immediately after his departure by air from Budapest, the Holy Father Francis sent the following telegram to the President of the Republic of Hungary, Mr. János Áder:
