With the promulgation of the Statutes of the Reverend Fabric of Saint Peter, the term of office of the Extraordinary Commissioner of the latter, His Excellency Archbishop Mario Giordana, apostolic nuncio, and of the Commission that assisted him in this task, will come to an end. During these nine months, in addition to preparing the new norms, they have dedicated themselves to the reorganisation of the administrative and technical offices of the Fabric.

His Eminence Cardinal Mauro Gambetti will now be responsible for the implementation of the new Statutes, and will assume the office of archpriest of the Basilica this Holy Week.
