Appointment of bishop of Moulins, France
The Holy Father has appointed as bishop of Moulins, France, the Reverend Marc Beaumont, of the clergy of the archdiocese of Cambrai, until now diocesan delegate for communication, dean of Marches du Hainaut and parish moderator of Sainte Maria Goretti du Hainaut, Saint François en Val d'Escaut and Saint Jacques en Val d'Escaut.
Curriculum vitae
Msgr. Marc Beaumont was born on 14 September 1961 in Cambrai, in the archdiocese of the same name. After his secondary education, he attended the Institut Universitaire de Technologie de Béthune, obtaining a diploma as a technician in electrical engineering in 1982.
He entered the Séminarie de Lille in order to carry out his ecclesiastical studies, and was ordained a priest on 13 May 1990 for the archdiocese of Cambrai.
He has held the following ministries and posts: parish priest in solidum of the southern sector of the Cambrai Rural Deanery (1990-1992); associate priest (1992-1194) and parish priest in solidum in the parishes of the Avesnes-sur-Helpe sector (1994-1999); parish priest in solidum of the sector of Caudry and delegate for youth ministry of the deanery of Cateau-Cambrésis Est (1999-2003); parish priest of Sainte Maxellende en Cambrésis (2003-2006); parish priest of Saint Martin en Ostrevant (2006-2015); episcopal vicar and delegate for pastoral care of communication (2012-2019). Since 2015 until the present he has been dean of Marches du Hainaut and parish moderator of Sainte Maria Goretti du Hainaut, Saint François en Val d'Escaut and Saint Jacques en Val d’Escaut, and since 2019, diocesan delegate for communication and secretary of the presbyteral council.
