The General Secretary of the Synod of Bishops, His Eminence Cardinal Lorenzo Baldisseri, has announced that Pope Francis has convoked the 16th Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops, which will be held in the month of October 2022 on the theme: “For a synodal Church: communion, participation and mission”.
