  The Holy Father will be received by:

 - Archbishop Francesco Cacucci of Bari-Bitonto;

 - the Honorable Michele Emiliano, president of the Region of Apulia

 - Dr. Antonella Bellomo, prefect of Bari

 - the Honorable Antonio Decaro, mayor of Bari.

 

 Transfer by car to the Pontifical Basilica of Saint Nicholas

 Meeting with bishops of the Mediterranean

 - Introduction from His Eminence Cardinal Gualtiero Bassetti, president of the Italian
   Episcopal Conference.

 

             Interventions by:

            His Eminence Cardinal Vinko Puljić, president of the Episcopal Conference
            of Bosnia and Herzegovina;

            Archbishop Pierbattista Pizzaballa, O.F.M., titular archbishop of Verbe,
            apostolic administrator sede vacante of the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem.

 

 Address of the Holy Father

 - Thanksgiving from Archbishop Paul Desfarges, S.J., of Alger, Algeria, president of 
   the Regional Episcopal Conference of North Africa (CERNA).

  The Holy Father will greet the bishops attending the meeting.

  The Holy Father will visit the crypt of the Basilica to venerate the relics of Saint 
  Nicholas, and will greet the Community of Dominican Fathers.

  Upon leaving the Basilica, on the parvis, the Holy Father will address a greeting to 
  those waiting in the square.
