Appointment of auxiliary of Bahía Blanca, Argentina

The Holy Father has appointed the Reverend Jorge Luis Wagner, vicar general of the archdiocese of Bahía Blanca, Argentina, as auxiliary of the same archdiocese, assigning him the titular see of Gergi.

Reverend Jorge Luis Wagner

The Reverend Jorge Luis Wagner was born in Guaminí, archdiocese of Bahía Blanca, on 19 January 1967. He was ordained a priest for the archdiocese of Bahía Blanca on 2 September 1993. He studied philosophy at the seminary of the diocese of Azul, and theology at the seminary of the archdiocese of Mercedes-Luján.

He has held the following offices: parish vicar, parish priest, episcopal delegate for youth ministry, and later, episcopal delegate for catechesis.

He is currently vicar general and moderator of the Curia, parish priest of the parish of Santa Teresita del Niño Jesús, teacher at the Higher Institute of the Salesian Fathers in Bahía Blanca, coordinator of the archdiocesan council for catechesis and member of the presbyteral council and the college of consultors.
