Appointment of bishop of Bondoukou, Cote d’Ivoire

The Holy Father Francis appointed as bishop of the diocese of Bondoukou, Cote d’Ivoire, the Rev. Bruno Essoh Yedoh, of the clergy of Yopougon, currently vicar general.

The bishop-elect was born in 1963 in Orbaff, Coted’Ivoire, and was ordained a priest in 1990. He holds a licentiate in philosophy from the Institut Catholique de Paris. Since ordination he has held a number of roles, including seminary professor, chaplain and head of pastoral care in secondary and higher educational institutes in Dabou, parish priest in various parishes and vicar general of Yopougon.
