The Holy Father has accepted the resignation from the pastoral care of the diocese of Saint-Jérôme, Canada, presented by H.E. Msgr. Pierre Morissette.
He is succeeded by H.E. Msgr. Raymond Poisson, currently coadjutor bishop of the same diocese.

The Holy Father has appointed as bishop of Joliette, Canada, H.E. Msgr. Louis Corriveau, currently titular bishop of Arena and auxiliary of Québec, Canada.
The bishop-elect was born in Sainte-Marie-de-Beauce, archdiocese of Québec, in 1964. He received diaconal ordination in 1989, and was ordained a priest in 1990. He has served in a number of pastoral roles including parish vicar, animator of vocations, member of the community of formator priests of the major seminary, spiritual father of major seminary, parish administrator, and parish priest. He is currently spiritual counsellor of the Equipes Notre Dame for Canada. He was appointed titular bishop of Arena and auxiliary of Québec in 2016.
