The General Secretariat of the Synod of Bishops states that the Holy Father Francis has convoked the Special Assembly of the Synod of Bishops for the Pan-Amazon Region, from Sunday 6 to Sunday 27 October 2019, to reflect on the theme: “Amazonia: new pathways for the Church and for an integral ecology”.
