The Holy Father Francis has appointed as bishop of the diocese of Fulda, Germany, H.E. Msgr. Michael Gerber, transferring him from the titular episcopal see of Migirpa and from the office of auxiliary of the diocese of Freiburg im Breisgau.
H.E. Msgr. Michael Gerber
H.E. Msgr. Michael Gerber was born on 17 January 1970 in Oberkirch, in the archdiocese of Freiburg im Breisgau.
He completed his philosophical and theological studies in Freiburg, attending the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome for one academic year. In 2007 he defended his doctorate in theology in Freiburg.
He was ordained a priest on 11 May 1997, and was incardinated in the archdiocese of Freiburg im Breisgau.
He then served as deputy parish priest in Malsch/Ettlingen (1997-1999), later becoming head of pastoral care of students at Freiburg-Littenweiler (1999-2001). Later, in the then Collegium Borromaeum Archiepiscopal Theological College in Freiburg, he was a collaborator, as Repetitor (2001-2002) and subsequently assistant director (2002-2006). Following the unification of the aforementioned college and the Saint Peter Archiepiscopal Seminary, he was first vice-rector and then, from 2011, rector of the new Archiepiscopal Seminary Collegium Borromaeum (2006-2011).
On 12 June 2013 he was appointed as auxiliary of Freiburg, receiving episcopal consecration on the following 8 September.

The Pope has appointed as bishop of La Rioja, Argentina, H.E. Dante Gustavo Braida, currently titular bishop of Tanudaia and auxiliary of the Archdiocese of Mendoza.
H.E. Msgr. Dante Gustavo Braida
H.E. Msgr. Dante Gustavo Braida was born in Reconquista on 18 July 1968. He entered the La Encarnación di Resistencia interdiocesan seminary and received priestly ordination on 21 April 1996, after which he was incardinated in the diocese of Reconquista.
He was parish vicar of the parish of Inmaculada Concepción of Villa Ocampo, missionary ad gentes in Cuba, parish priest of the parishes of San Luis Gonzága and La Inmaculada, diocesan counsellor for vocational pastoral ministry, formator of the La Encarnación interdiocesan seminary, member of the presbyteral council and the college of consultors, and vicar general of the diocese of Reconquista.
On 11 April 2015 he was appointed as titular bishop of Tanudaia and auxiliary of Mendoza, receiving episcopal ordination the following 12 July. Following the death of the archbishop of Mendoza, he governed the circumscription as apostolic administrator.
Within the Episcopal Conference of Argentina, he is a member of the Commission of the Apostolate of the Laity and of Family Pastoral Care.
