Resignation of bishop of Bujumbura, Burundi and appointment of successor

The Holy Father has accepted the resignation from the pastoral care of the archdiocese of Bujumbura, Burundi, presented by H.E. Msgr. Evariste Ngoyagoye.

The Pope has appointed H.E. Gervais Banshimiyubusa, bishop of Ngozi, as archbishop of the metropolitan see of Bujumbura.

Appointment of apostolic nuncio in Cameroon

The Holy Father has appointed as apostolic nuncio in Cameroon H.E: Msgr. Julio Murat, titular archbishop of Orange, currently apostolic nuncion in Zambia and in Malawi.
