Appointment of Members of the Dicasteries of the Roman Curia

The Holy Father Francis has appointed the following Cardinals as Members of the Dicasteries of the Roman Curia:

1) in the Congregation for the Oriental Churches, His Eminence Cardinal Mario Zenari, apostolic nuncio in Syria (Italy);

2) in the Congregation for Bishops, His Eminence Cardinal Juan José Omella Omella, archbishop of Barcelona (Spain);

3) in the Congregation for Catholic Education, the Eminent Cardinals: Carlos Osoro Sierra, archbishop of Madrid (Spain); Blase Joseph Cupich, archbishop of Chicago (United States of America);

4) in the Dicastery for the Laity, Family and Life, the Eminent Cardinals: Baltazar Enrique Porras Cardozo, archbishop of Mérida (Venezuela); Jozef De Kesel, archbishop of Mechelen‑Brussel (Belgium); Jean Zerbo, archbishop of Bamako (Mali);

5) in the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development, the Eminent Cardinals: Patrick D’Rozario, C.S.C., archbishop of Dhaka (Bangladesh); Maurice Piat, C.S.Sp., bishop of Port‑Louis (Mauritius); John Ribat, M.S.C., archbishop of Port Moresby (Papua New Guinea); Louis‑Marie Ling Mangkhanekhoun, I.V.D., vicar apostolic of Vientiane (Laos); Gregorio Rosa Chávez, auxiliary of San Salvador (EI Salvador);

6) in the Supreme Tribunal of the Apostolic Signatura, His Eminence Juan José Omella Omella, archbishop of Barcelona (Spain);
