- H.E. Msgr. Hubertus Matheus Maria van Megen, titular archbishop of Novaliciana, apostolic nuncio in Sudan and Eritrea;

a group of faithful from Sri Lanka;

- Special Olympic Athletes, participants in the Unified Football Tournament.

In the afternoon yesterday, Thursday 12 October, the Holy Father received in audience:

- His Eminence Beatitude Cardinal Baselios Cleemis Thottunkal, major archbishop of Trivandrum of the Syro-Malankars, India;

- His Eminence Cardinal Mario Aurelio Poli, archbishop of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
