The Holy Father Francis has accepted the resignation from the pastoral care of the diocese of Ruteng, Indonesia, presented by H.E. Hubertus Leteng, and has appointed H.E. Msgr. Sylvester San, bishop of Denpasar, as apostolic administrator sede vacante ed ad nutum Sanctae Sedis of the same diocese.

The Pope has appointed as bishop of the diocese of Campina Grande, Brazil, H.E. Msgr. Dulcênio Fontes de Matos, transferring him from the diocese of Palmeira dos Índios.
H.E. Msgr. Dulcênio Fontes de Matos
H.E. Msgr. Dulcênio Fontes de Matos was born on 19 October 1958 in Lagarto, diocese of Estância, in the state of Sergipe. After completing his preparatory studies in his home city, he attended the course in philosophy at the Nossa Senhora de Fátima major seminary in Brasilia (1980-1982), and in theology at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (1983-1985), as a student of the São José archdiocesan seminary. He specialised in philosophy at the Vale do Acaraú State University in Fortaleza (1994-1995), and in canon law at the Rio de Janeiro Institute of Canon Law.
He was ordained a priest on 14 December 1985 and incardinated in the diocese of Estância.
As a priest he has held the following offices: deputy priest in Lagarto 81986-1987) and parish priest in Umbaúba (1987-1992); pastor of the Cathedral, member of the presbyteral council and the college of consultors, as well as professor of theology, and diocesan pastoral coordinator (1992-2001).
He was appointed as auxiliary bishop of Aracaju on 18 April 2001 and received episcopal ordination the following 16 June.
He was appointed as bishop of Palmeira dos Indos on 12 July 2006.
