The Holy Father Francis has accepted the resignation from the pastoral care of the apostolic prefecture of the Marshall Islands, in the Pacific Ocean, presented by Rev. Fr. Raymundo Sabio, M.S.C.
The Pope has appointed as apostolic prefect of the same apostolic prefecture, without episcopal rank, the Rev. Fr. Ariel Galido, missionary in the Marshall Islands.

The Rev. Fr. Ariel Galido, M.S.C., was born on 3 June 1975 in Bacuag, Surigao del Norte, in the Philippines. He received priestly ordination on 9 June 2004. The year after, in 2005, he was sent to the Marshall Islands, where he worked as a missionary in the parishes of various islands.

The Holy Father has appointed as military ordinary for France the Rev. Fr. Antoine de Romanet de Beaune, of the clergy of Paris, currently dean of Auteuil and parish priest of Notre-Dame d’Auteuil, France.
Rev. Fr. Antoine de Romanet de Beaune
The Rev. Fr. Antoine de Romanet de Beaune was born in Le Mans, department of Sarthe, France, on 25 October 1962.
After secondary studies at the Saint-Grégoire college in Tours and the Montaigne Lyceum in Paris, he attended the Institut d’Etudes Politiques, Paris, obtaining a doctorate in economic sciences. In 1984 he was awarded a licentiate in law from the Université Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne. In the years 1986-1987 he was an adjunct commercial officer at the French embassy in Egypt.
In 1988 he entered the seminary and a year later was sent to Brussels, Belgium, for his ecclesiastical studies which he continued from 1992 in Rome at the Pontifical French Seminary, to complete his formation at the Pontifical Gregorian University, where in 1996 he obtained a degree in moral theology.
He was ordained a priest on 24 June 1995 for the archdiocese of Paris.
From 1995 to the present he has held various offices and ministries. From 2002 to 2010 he was parish priest of Saint-Louis de France in Washington (United States of America), and Chaplain of the Rochambeau French lyceum in Washington.
He is currently dean of Auteuil, parish priest of Notre-Dame d’Auteuil in Paris and co-director of the “Politics and Religion” department of the Collège des Bernardins and professor of social morality at the Saint-Sulpice Interdiocesan Seminary of Issy-les-Moulineaux, in the diocese of Nanterre.

The Pope has appointed as bishop of the diocese of Pangkal-Pinang, Indonesia, Rev. Fr. Adrianus Sunarko, O.P., provincial superior and president of the Conference of Male Major Superiors in Indonesia.
Rev. Fr. Adrianus Sunarko, O.P.
The Rev. Fr. Adrianus Sunarko, O.P., was born on 7 December 1966 in Merauke, in the archdiocese of Merauke, West Papua. After attending the minor seminary of Mertoyudan, he completed his studies in philosophy at the Driyarkara Superior School of Philosophy and in theology at the Pontifical Wedabhakti Faculty of Theology in Yogyakarta.
He gave his religious vows on 15 August 1994 in the Order of Friars Minor and was ordained a priest on 8 July 1995.
He has held the following offices: parish vicar in Kramat, archdiocese of Jakarta (1995-1996); studies for degree in theology at the Albert-Ludwig Universität in Freiburg, Germany (1996-2002); lecturer in the Driyarkara Superior School of Philosophy in Jakarta (since 2002); provincial definitor O.F.M. for Indonesia (two mandates, since 2010); president of KOPTARI (Conference of Male Major Superiors) (since 2014).

The Holy Father has appointed as coadjutor bishop of the diocese of Cheju, Korea, Rev. Pius Moon Chang-woo, head of the Shinsong Girls’ Middle School in Cheju.
Rev. Pius Moon Chang-woo
The Rev. Pius Moon Chang-woo was born on 15 March 1963 in Cheju. He carried out his philosophical and theological studies at the major seminary of Gwangju, receiving a master’s degree in theology (1994-1996).
He was ordained a priest on 10 February for the diocese of Cheju.
Since priestly ordination he has held the following offices: vicar of the Seomoon Parish (1996-1997), vicar of the Chungang Parish (1997-1998); pastor of the Choongmoon Parish (1998-1999); director of the diocesan office for youth and education and of the Diocesan Students’ Association, director of the Office for Catechesis and Migrants (1999-2006); lecturer and spiritual father of the Catholic University of Gwangju (2006-2016); studies for doctorate (2010-2015); head of the Shinsong Girls’ Middle School (since 2016).

The Pope has appointed as auxiliary of Belém do Pará, Brazil, Rev. Fr. Antônio de Assis Ribeiro, S.D.B., currently vice-inspector of the “São Domingos Sávio” Province based in Manaus, assigning him the titular see of Babra.

The Rev. Fr. Antônio de Assis Ribeiro, S.D.B., was born on 26 July 1966 in Ourém, diocese of Bragança do Pará, in the State of Pará. He carried out his studies in philosophy in Manaus (1987-1990) and then at the Catholic University of Brasília. Then in Rome he studied theology at the Pontifical Salesian University (1991-1994), and obtained a licentiate in moral theology from the Alphonsianum Academy (1997-1999).
He gave his religious profession on 10 January 1987 in the Salesian Society of St. John Bosco, and received priestly ordination on 17 June 1995.
Within his religious Congregation, he has held the following offices: parish vicar and head of aspirants in Manaus (1996-1997); director of the Salesian School for labour in Belém do Pará (2000-2003); advisor to the “São Domingos Sávio” Province (2002-2007): director of the Salesian Mission and parish priest in Iauaretê, in the diocese of São Gabriel da Cachoeira (2006); director of the “Dom Bosco” College in Manaus (2007-2008); pastor of the “Dom Bosco” parish in Manaus (2007-2009); director of the Salesian work and parish priest in Manicoré, in the diocese of Humaitá (2009-2012). In addition he served as professor of moral theology in the Regional Institute for Priestly Formation in Belém do Pará (2000-2005).
Since 2013 he has been vice-provincial and delegate for youth and vocational pastoral ministry in the Salesian Province of “São Domingos Sávio” based in Manaus.

The Holy Father has appointed as auxiliary of the archdiocese of Seoul, Korea, the Rev. Job Koo Yobi, parish priest of Poi-Dong, archdiocese of Seoul, assigning him the episcopal titular see of Sfasferia.
Rev. Job Koo Yobi
The Rev. Job Koo Yobi was born on 25 January 1951. He studied in the major seminary of Suwon (1985-1989 and 1990-1993), and then completed his service in aviation with the grade of Sergeant (1989-1990).
He was ordained a priest on 24 February 1981 and incardinated in the archdiocese of Seoul.
Since ordination he has held the following offices: parish vicar in Imun-Dong (1981-1982); parish vicar in Shin-Dang Dong (1982-1983); studies at the Association of Priests of the Prado, Lyon, France (1983-1986); parish priest in Guro-Dong (1986-1991); parish priest in Sang-ge Dong (1991-1993); National Director of the Association of Young Catholics Workers; member of the Pastoral Committee for Work; head of the Association of Priests of the Prado in Korea (1993-1998); studies for licentiate in spirituality at the Institut Catholique in Paris (1998-2000); parish priest in Jong-ro (2000-2002); spiritual director of the Major Seminary (2002-2007); head of the Association of Priests of the Prado in Korea; member of the International Board of the International Association of Priests of the Prado (based in Korea) (2007-2013); parish priest in Poi-Dong (since 2013).
