Resignation of archbishop of San Juan de Cuyo, Argentina, and appointment of successor

The Holy Father has accepted the resignation from the pastoral care of the archdiocese of San Juan de Cuyo, Argentina, presented by His Excellency Msgr. Alfonso Rogelio Delgado Evers. He is succeeded by His Excellency Msgr. Jorge Eduardo Lozano, currently coadjutor bishop of the same archdiocese.

The Holy Father has appointed His Eminence Cardinal Andrello Ricardo Ezzati, S.D.B., archbishop of Santiago de Chile, as his special envoy at the celebration of the centenary of the birth of Blessed Bishop Oscar Romero, scheduled to be held in San Salvador, El Salvador, on 15 August 2017.
