Appointment of the President of the Italian Episcopal Conference

The Holy Father, in accordance with Article 26 § 1 of the Statute of the Italian Episcopal Conference, has appointed His Eminence Cardinal Gualtiero Bassetti, archbishop of Perugia-Città della Pieve, as president of the same Italian Episcopal Conference.
