The Holy Father has accepted the resignation from the pastoral care of the diocese of Aire et Dax, France, presented by His Excellency Msgr. Hervé Gaschignard.
The Holy Father has appointed His Excellency Msgr. Bernard Charrier, bishop emeritus of Tulle, as apostolic administrator sede vacante of the diocese of Aire et Dax, France, with faculties of diocesan bishop.

The Holy Father has appointed His Excellency Msgr. James Patrick Green, titular archbishop of Altino and apostolic nuncio in Peru, as apostolic nuncio in Sweden and Iceland.

The Holy Father has appointed as auxiliary bishop of Seattle, United States of America, Msgr. Daniel H. Mueggenborg, of the clergy of Tulsa, currently pastor of the “Christ the King” parish in Tulsa, assigning him the titular see of Tullia.
Msgr. Daniel H. Mueggenborg
Msgr. Daniel H. Mueggenborg was born on 15 April 1962 in Okarche, Oklahoma, in the diocese of Tulsa. After attending the Holy Trinity School in Okarche, and the St. Francis Xavier School, the Stillwater Middle School and the C.E. Donart High School in Stillwater, he obtained a bachelor’s degree in geology from the Oklahoma State University in 1984. He then studied philosophy at the St. Meinrad Seminary in St. Meinrad, Indiana (1984-1985) and theology at the Pontifical North American College and the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, where he obtained a licentiate in biblical theology in 1994.
He was ordained a priest on 14 July 1989 for the diocese of Tulsa.
After priestly ordination he held the following offices: vicar of the “St. Mary” parish in Tulsa (1989), the “St. John” parish in Bartlesville (1990-1991) and the “St. Piux X” parish in Tulsa (1991-1994); chaplain of the Bishop Kelley High School (1991-1994); member of the presbyteral council (1994-2004); administrator of the “St. Pius X” parish (1995) and the “St. Cecilia” parish in Claremore (1995-1996); pastor of the “Church of the Magdalene” in Tulsa (19962001); chaplain of the St. Philip Neri Newman Centre at the University of Tulsa (1996-2001); pastor of the “St. Clement” parish in Bixby (2001-2005); director of the office of the diocesan synod (2002-2005); chair of the presbyteral council (2002-2003); assistant director for formation of the Pontifical North American College in Rome (2005-2006) and vice rector for the administration of the same Pontifical Collage (2006-2011). Since 2011 he has served as pastor of the “Christ the King” parish in Tulsa, and member of the presbyteral council, the diocesan financial council and the Board of Governors of diocesan Caritas.
In 2004 he was named Chaplain of His Holiness.
Aside from English, he speaks Spanish and Italian.
