In a letter published today, written in Latin and dated 22 August, the Holy Father appoints Cardinal Vinko Puljić, archbishop of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, as his special envoy at the celebration to be held in Skopje, ex-Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, concluding the day of thanksgiving for the canonisation of Mother Teresa of Calcutta.

The mission accompanying the cardinal will be composed of Fr. Davor Topic, parish priest of the Cathedral of Latin Rite of Skopje and dean of the clergy of the diocese of Skopje, and Fr. Zoran Stojanov, pastor of the parish of Byzantine Rite of Radovo and dean of the apostolic exarchate of Macedonia.
