Vatican City, 16 July 2016 – The Holy Father:

- appointed Cardinal Angelo Bagnasco, archbishop of Genoa and president of the Italian Episcopal Conference as his special envoy at the National Eucharistic Congress of Italy, to be held in Genoa from 15 to 18 September.

- accepted the resignation from the office of secretary of the Supreme Tribunal of the Apostolic Signatura, presented by Msgr. Frans Daneels upon reaching the age limit. He will be succeeded by Msgr. Giuseppe Sciacca, currently adjunct secretary of the same Supreme Tribunal, with effect from 1 September.
