Vatican City, 25 April 2016 – In a letter published today, written in Latin and dated 18 April, the Holy Father appoints Cardinal Rainer Maria Woelki, archbishop of Cologne, as his special envoy at the closing of the Octave of Our Lady Consoler of the Afflicted, on the 350th anniversary of her election as patroness of the city of Luxembourg, scheduled to take place on 1 May.

The pontifical mission accompanying the cardinal will be composed of Msgr. Théophile Walin, honorary canon, and Rev. Fr. Tom Kerger, episcopal vicar for the synod process.
