The Fifth International Conference:
Exploring the Mind, Body & Soul.
How Innovation and Novel Delivery Systems Improve Human Health.
The Pontifical Council for Culture and the Cura Foundation are organizing the Fifth International Conference on the theme: Exploring the Mind, Body & Soul. How Innovation and Novel Delivery Systems Improve Human Health. The Conference will take place virtually from 6 to 8 May 2021, and bring together physicians, scientists, ethicists, religious leaders, patient rights advocates, policymakers, philanthropists and commentators to discuss the latest breakthroughs in medicine, healthcare delivery and prevention, as well as the human implications and cultural impact of technological advances. The organizers will also promote a roundtable on “Bridging Science and Faith”, aimed at exploring the relationship of religion and spirituality to health and wellbeing, including the relationship between mind, body and soul. The discussion will deal with the deeper meaning of human existence and seek areas of convergence between the humanities and the natural sciences. At the conclusion of the Conference, Pope Francis will address a video message to the participants. Priests, pastoral health care workers and students from Pontifical and Catholic Universities worldwide are invited to take part in the Conference. Il Pontificio Consiglio della Cultura e la Fondazione Cura organizzano la V Conferenza Internazionale dal titolo: Exploring the Mind, Body & Soul. How Innovation and Novel Delivery Systems Improve Human Health. Essa si terrà, in formato virtuale, nei giorni 6-8 maggio 2021 e vedrà la presenza di medici, scienziati, studiosi di etica, leader religiosi, sostenitori dei diritti dei pazienti, policymakers, filantropi e opinionisti per confrontarsi sulle ultime scoperte nell’ambito della medicina, dell’assistenza sanitaria e della prevenzione, nonché sul significato antropologico e sull’impatto culturale dei progressi tecnologici. Gli organizzatori metteranno in risalto anche una conversazione sul tema: “Bridging Science and Faith” per esplorare i punti in comune tra religione e spiritualità in rapporto con salute e benessere, esaminando anche la relazione tra mente, corpo e anima. La discussione volgerà verso il significato di essere umani e cercherà aree di convergenza tra le scienze umane e le scienze naturali. Alla conclusione della Conferenza, Papa Francesco indirizzerà ai Partecipanti un video-messaggio. L’invito a partecipare è esteso ai sacerdoti, agli operatori della pastorale della salute e agli studenti delle Università Pontificie e Cattoliche di tutto il mondo.
