In data 28 gennaio 2019 P. Hermann Geissler ha chiesto al Prefetto della Congregazione per la Dottrina della Fede di lasciare il suo servizio. Il Prefetto ha accolto questa richiesta. P. Geissler ha fatto tale passo per limitare il danno già arrecato alla Congregazione e alla sua Comunità. Egli ribadisce che l’accusa contro di lui non è vera e chiede che sia continuato il processo canonico già iniziato. Si riserva anche eventuali misure di natura legale.

P. Hermann Geißler hat am 28. Januar 2019 den Präfekten der Kongregation für die Glaubenslehre gebeten, seinen Dienst zu beenden. Der Präfekt hat dieser Bitte entsprochen. P. Geißler hat sich zu diesem Schritt entschlossen, um weiteren Schaden von der Glaubenskongregation und von seiner Gemeinschaft abzuwenden. Er bekräftigt, dass die gegen ihn vorgebrachte Beschuldigung unwahr ist. Er legt Wert auf eine Fortsetzung des bereits eingeleiteten kirchenrechtlichen Verfahrens. Darüber hinaus behält er sich rechtliche Schritte vor.

On January 28, 2019, Fr. Hermann Geissler submitted his resignation from office to the Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. The Prefect granted his request. Fr. Geissler decided to take this step to limit the damage already done to the Congregation and to his Community. He affirms that the accusation made against him is untrue, and asks that the canonical process already initiated continue. He also reserves the right for possible civil legal action.
