The Bilateral Permanent Working Commission between the Holy See and the State of Israel met today, 11 February 2014, in the David Citadel Hotel, Jerusalem, at the Plenary level, to continue negotiations pursuant to the Fundamental Agreement Art. 10 paragraph 2.

The meeting was headed by Mr. Ze’ev Elkin, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and by Msgr. Antoine Camilleri, Under-Secretary for the Holy See's Relations with States.

The Plenary received a report on the few remaining issues concerning the Single Document. The Parties took note of the progress achieved, in a thoughtful and constructive atmosphere, since the last Plenary of June 2013, and agreed on future steps, in view of the next Plenary meeting in June 2014, in the Vatican City.

La Commissione Bilaterale Permanente di Lavoro tra la Santa Sede e lo Stato di Israele si è riunita oggi, 11 febbraio 2014, in sessione Plenaria, presso l’Hotel David Citadel di Gerusalemme, per continuare i negoziati in base all’Articolo 10 §2 del "Fundamental Agreement".

L’incontro è stato presieduto dal Sig. Ze’ev ELKIN, Vice-Ministro degli Affari Esteri, e da Mons. Antoine CAMILLERI, Sotto-Segretario per i Rapporti con gli Stati.

La Sessione Plenaria è stata informata sulle poche questioni rimanenti riguardanti il Single Document. Le Parti hanno preso nota, in una atmosfera riflessiva e costruttiva, dei progressi compiuti dall’ultima Plenaria del giugno 2013, e hanno concordato i passi futuri, in vista della prossima Plenaria prevista per giugno 2014 nella Città del Vaticano.
