Al termine dell’Udienza Generale, il Santo Padre ha incontrato brevemente la Sig.ra Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the House della Camera dei Deputati degli Stati Uniti, e il seguito.
Sua Santità ha colto l’occasione per illustrare che la legge morale naturale e il costante insegnamento della Chiesa sulla dignità della vita umana dal concepimento alla morte naturale impongono a tutti i cattolici, e specialmente ai legislatori, ai giuristi e ai responsabili del bene comune della società, di cooperare con tutti gli uomini e le donne di buona volontà per promuovere un ordinamento giuridico giusto, inteso a proteggere la vita umana in ogni suo momento.

Following the General Audience the Holy Father briefly greeted Mrs Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, together with her entourage.
His Holiness took the opportunity to speak of the requirements of the natural moral law and the Church’s consistent teaching on the dignity of human life from conception to natural death which enjoin all Catholics, and especially legislators, jurists and those responsible for the common good of society, to work in cooperation with all men and women of good will in creating a just system of laws capable of protecting human life at all stages of its development.
