Sono ormai oltre 15 giorni che le due religiose italiane Suor Maria Teresa Olivero e Suor Caterina Giraudo sono state rapite in Kenya, dove sono note per il loro generoso impegno in favore dei più poveri. Il prolungarsi del sequestro è seguito con preoccupazione dal Santo Padre, che è vicino nella preghiera alla sofferenza non solo delle due religiose rapite, ma anche dei familiari e del "Movimento Contemplativo Missionario Padre de Foucauld" a cui appartengono. L’auspicio è che questa situazione dolorosa e gravemente ingiusta di cui sono vittime persone del tutto innocenti e benemerite possa risolversi al più presto.

[More than a fortnight has passed since the two Italian nuns, Sr. Maria Teresa Olivero and Sr. Caterina Giraudo, were abducted in Kenya, where they are well-known for their generous dedication to the very poor.
