Al termine dell’odierna undicesima Congregazione Generale dei Cardinali in periodo di sede vacante, il Direttore della Sala Stampa della Santa Sede, Dr. Joaquín Navarro-Valls, ha rilasciato a fine mattinata ai giornalisti la seguente dichiarazione:

Si è tenuta questa mattina nell’Aula nuova del Sinodo in Vaticano, l’undicesima Congregazione Generale dei Cardinali.

Recitata la preghiera allo Spirito Santo, i Cardinali hanno dedicato interamente la mattinata allo scambio di idee sui problemi della Chiesa e del mondo.

Anche oggi alcuni Cardinali, che erano preposti alle Congregazioni e ai Pontifici Consigli della Curia Romana, hanno esposto i problemi più importanti affrontati dal loro Dicastero.

Hanno partecipato 138 Cardinali.

Con la recita del Regina Coeli si è conclusa la Riunione.

Today, at the end of the eleventh General Congregation of Cardinals in the period of the vacant see, Holy See Press Office Director Joaquin Navarro-Valls released the following statement to journalists:

The 11^th General Congregation of Cardinals was held this morning in the New Synod Hall.

After reciting the prayer to the Holy Spirit, the cardinals dedicated the entire morning to an exchange of ideas on the problems of the Church and of the world.

Also today, several cardinals who headed congregations and pontifical councils of the Roman Curia laid out the most important problems faced by their dicasteries.

There were 138 cardinals in today's congregation.

With the Regina Coeli prayer, the General Congregation concluded.
