Rosary for Peace

 

Pope Leo XIV’s commitment to world peace continues to be expressed through his constant call to prayer.

Following the Vigil celebrated in Saint Peter’s Basilica on 11 April, at the close of the Marian month, on Saturday 30 May at 19.00, the Holy Father will preside over the recitation of the Holy Rosary at the Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes in the Vatican Gardens.

On this occasion, all shrines around the world will be invited to join with their respective pilgrims and faithful in prayer with the Holy Father. The major shrines have already signed up: the Shrine of the Mother of God (Zarvanytsia, Ukraine); the International Shrine of Our Lady of Peace and Safe Journey (Antipolo, Philippines); The Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary (Fatima, Portugal); the Shrine of Our Lady Queen of Peace (Medjugorje, Bosnia and Herzegovina); the Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes (Lourdes, France); the Shrine of Saint Charbel Annaya (Byblos, Lebanon); and the Pontifical Shrine of the Holy House (Loreto, Italy).

It will be possible to take part in the initiative, promoted by the Dicastery for Evangelization – Section for Fundamental Issues regarding Evangelization in the World, subject to availability and upon collection of tickets at Via della Conciliazione 7, in the days leading up to the Holy Rosary, namely 28, 29 and 30 May, from 9.30 to 17.30.

Please note that it will also be possible to join the Holy Father in prayer from Saint Peter’s Square, via the large screens there.
