The Holy Father Leo XIV will attend the Dies Academicus of the Pontifical Lateran University

Il 14 novembre, alle ore 11.00 presso l’Aula Magna della Pontificia Università Lateranense, il Santo Padre presenzierà il Dies Academicus, inaugurando ufficialmente l’inizio dell’Anno Accademico 2025-2026 dell’Ateneo che, a titolo speciale, costituisce l’“Università del Papa”.

On 14 November, at 11.00, in the Great Hall of the Pontifical Lateran University, the Holy Father will attend the Dies Academicus, officially inaugurating the beginning of the 2025-2026 Academic Year of the University which, by special title, constitutes the Pope’s University.

The presence of the Holy Father at “his university” is a sign of particular attention towards the Lateran academic community and its commitment to the integral formation of new generations of students, in theological, philosophical and legal research and in the dialogue between faith and culture.

The Dies Academicus is an opportunity for reflection and encounter between teachers, students and Church and civil authorities for the growth of the university.

The event will take place in the presence of the Grand Chancellor, His Eminence Cardinal Baldassare Reina and the Rector Magnificus, Archbishop Alfonso V. Amarante, the academic authorities, and numerous guests from the ecclesial and cultural world.
