(Vatican City, 5 June 2025) – On Saturday 7 and. Sunday 8 June, the Jubilee of Movements, Associations and Communities, one of the most significant events of the Holy Year 2025, will take place in Rome. The protagonists of the Jubilee will be ecclesial movements, new communities, lay associations, and charismatic and missionary entities, who have always constituted a lively and dynamic expression of evangelization in the world. It will be the first opportunity for them to meet Pope Leo XIV. The organizations present will include, in particular, the Neocatechumenal Way, Catholic Action, Communion and Liberation, the Shalom Catholic Community, the parochial cells of evangelization, Charis International, the Sant’Egidio Community, the New Horizons Community, the Catholic Action International Forum, Giovenù Ardente Mariana, Work of Mary – Focolare Movement, Renewal in the Spirit, and the Association of Salesian Cooperators.

On Saturday 7 June, the Jubilee will begin with a pilgrimage to the Holy Doors of the Papal Basilicas from 8.00 to 18.00. In the afternoon, starting at 16.00, all the participants will gather in Saint Peter’s Square to await the prayer vigil with the Holy Father, on the Eve of Pentecost.

Until 18.00, the pilgrims will experience a moment of celebration, animated by various musical groups, with representatives of movements, associations and communities from all the continents.

At 18.00 the Pre-Vigil will begin, a moment of reflection to enter into the atmosphere of prayer, enlivened by a choir of 130 people from all over the world and enriched with testimonies from Hussam Abu Sini, a Arab-Christian Israeli working for peace; Nicola Buricchi, father and husband with a history of substance abuse; Aline Minani, director of the “Floribert Bwana Chui” School for Peace for vulnerable and refugee children in the outskirts of Goma, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo; and Pedro and María Begoña Sanchez, a missionary couple in Ukraine, parents of twelve children.

From 20.00 to 21.00, again in Saint Peter’s Square, the Holy Father will preside over the solemn Vigil of Pentecost, which represents the spiritual heart of the entire Jubilee event, a sign of unity and the variety of gifts of the Spirit in the Church. The Vigil will include the liturgy of the Word, with the renewal of baptismal vows and Pope Leo’s homily.

Finally, on Sunday 8 June, at 10.30, the Eucharistic Celebration on the solemnity of Pentecost, presided over by the Pontiff at the conclusion of the Jubilee of Movements, will be held in the Square. The Holy Mass will be open to all pilgrims; tickets are not required.
