For the upcoming Christmas holidays, the Holy Father will once again send His Almoner to Ukraine.

Every day Pope Francis prays for peace in this war-torn country, but in a concrete way he wants to be present among them in these days when we will celebrate the Birth of Jesus.

The Almoner will leave for Ukraine with the gift of a large medical camper, a small mobile hospital, where surgeries can also be performed, and six ultrasound machines that will be donated to the destroyed and bombed hospitals.

During his journey through Ukraine, the Cardinal will visit various communities to meet the people who are suffering, and with them he will try to open the “door of Hope” in their hearts and pray for the much longed for peace.
