“Trenta anni di messaggi papali alla Centesimus Annus Pro Pontifice”
This morning, Tuesday 6 June, on the occasion of the international conference of the Centesimus Annus-Pro Pontifice Foundation, a book entitled Trenta anni di messaggi papali alla Centesimus Annus-Pontifice Foundation (“Thirty years of papal messages to the Centesimus Annus-Pro Pontifice Foundation”, (EDB Editions, 2023, 166 pages) was presented. The book is a compilation of the 25 discourses addressed by Saint John Paul II, Pope Benedict XVI and Pope Francis during these first thirty years of its activity: 1993-2023. “From these messages”, writes the President of the Foundation, Anna Maria Tarantola, in the introduction, “the continuity of thought of the three popes emerges strongly. Although they lived in very different contexts, they all highlighted the importance of the daily commitment of the laity to work according to the principles of the Social Doctrine of the Church, which are the winning factor in the fight against poverty, inequality and wars”.
