Jubilee 2025: Aims reached and projects

 

This coming Tuesday 9 May  at 11.30, a press conference will be held in the Holy See Press Office, via dell’Ospedale 1, to present the iniatives of the preparatory phase of the Jubilee 2025 and the most important phases as we draw near to the Jubilee year.

During the press conference, among other things, the calendar of major Jubilee events, the processes activated and the objectives already achieved in the preparatory phase will be presented, with the involvement of the four Organizing Commissions, supplemented by the session that brings together the delegates of the Italian Dioceses and the representatives of the International Bishops' Conferences, the Technical Committee and the 35 Sub-Commissions.

On 9 May the new Jubilee 2025 website, www.iubilaeum2025.va, will be active from the following day, will also be presented, and a preview of the iubilaeum2025 pilgrim app, available for Android and IOS, will be shown. The Jubilee social profiles will also be active from next autumn. Through the website and the app it will be possible to access a platform that allows registration and to obtain the "Pilgrim's Card".

The winner of the International Competition for the Jubilee 2025 anthem has also already been selected, whose name will be announced during the press conference. On Thursday, 1 June, the Pilgrims' Centre - Info Point for the Jubilee will also be inaugurated in Via della Conciliazione 7, where pilgrims and tourists will be able to ask for information on how to participate, become volunteers or organise their own pilgrimage in 2025. The first news about the cultural events already planned in preparation for the Jubilee Year will also be announced.
