New Media Officer for the Pontifical Swiss Guard
Vice-Corporal Eliah Cinotti is the new media officer as of 1 January 2023. He replaces Vice-Corporal Manuel von Däniken in this function.
Vice-Corporal Eliah Cinotti, formerly resident in Biel (BE) and originally from Schlieren (ZH), joined the Pontifical Swiss Guard Corps on 1 October 2019. Prior to his appointment in Rome, Vice-Corporal Eliah Cinotti graduated from the Higher School of Commerce in Biel (BE) and then did his military service as a junior officer in the Military Police Recruit School 19 in Sion (VS). At the Pontifical Swiss Guard, he initially served in uniform and was then transferred to the rear guards as assistant to the chief of staff.
For private reasons, Vice-Corporal Manuel von Däniken will leave the Pontifical Swiss Guard at the end of February 2023. He will continue his studies in Switzerland at the University of Chur in the Canton of Graubünden. The Pontifical Swiss Guard thanks him sincerely for his great commitment in his function as media officer.
