In response to questions from journalists, the Director of the Holy See Press Office, Matteo Bruni, gave the following statement:

"I can confirm that the Holy See has been asked to receive twelve priests from Nicaragua, recently released from prison. The Holy See has accepted, and they will be received by an official of the Secretariat of State in the afternoon and accommodated in some facilities of the diocese of Rome”.
