The Director of the Holy See Press Office, Matteo Bruni, states that:

The medical staff inform us that the post-operative course of Pope Francis is regular.

The Holy Father continues to be apyretic and haemodynamically stable; he has undergone respiratory physiotherapy and continues to be mobile.

During the morning he followed the Holy Mass live on television and received the Eucharist. He then went to the chapel in his private flat, where he remained gathered in prayer for the recitation of the Angelus.

He then had lunch in the private apartment, in the company of those assisting him during these days of his stay (doctors, medical assistant, nurses, auxiliaries and Gendarmerie Corps personnel).
