Information for journalists from the Director of the Holy See Press Office, Matteo Bruni:

“This afternoon Pope Francis visited the children admitted to the paediatric oncology ward in the A. Gemelli Hospital, taking them rosaries, chocolate eggs and copies of the book “Nacque Gesù a Betlemme di Giudea” (“Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea”).

During the visit, which lasted around half an hour, the Pope imparted the sacrament of Baptism to a baby boy, named Miguel Angel, just a few weeks old.

At the end, he returned to his own ward”.
