The Director of the Holy See Press Office, Matteo Bruni, has announced:

“His Holiness Pope Francis rested well during the night.

The clinical picture is progressively improving and he is continuing with the planned treatments.

This morning after breakfast, he read some newspapers and resumed work.

Before lunch, he went to the chapel of his private apartment, where he paused in prayer and received the Eucharist.”
