This morning, at the Secretariat of State, His Eminence Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Secretary of State of His Holiness, accompanied by His Excellency Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher, Secretary for Relations with States and International Organizations, received in audience His Excellency Mr. Luis Rodolfo Abinader Corona, President of the Dominican Republic.

During the cordial talks, satisfaction was expressed regarding the good existing relations between the Holy See and the Dominican Republic, characterized by positive and ongoing cooperation between the Church and the State.

The conversation then turned to the regional situation, with particular attention to the repercussions of conflicts and transnational organized crime.
