The Holy Father has appointed Bishop Ramón Salazar Estrada, hitherto titular of Bisarcio and auxiliary of the archdiocese of Guadalajara, as bishop of the diocese of Mazatlán, Mexico.
Curriculum vitae
Bishop Ramón Salazar Estrada was born on 17 May 1963 in Guadalajara, in the archdiocese of the same name. After completing his studies for the priesthood at the Seminary of Guadalajara, he was ordained a priest on 30 May 1993, and incardinated into the metropolitan archdiocese of Guadalajara.
He was awarded a licentiate and a doctorate in moral theology from the Alphonsian Academy in Rome, and has held the following roles: chaplain, spiritual director of the minor seminary, lecturer at the Major Seminary of Guadalajara, prefect of the Auxiliary Seminary of Guadalajara, parish vicar, parish priest, and spiritual director of the Institute for Adult Vocations.
On 18 September he was appointed titular bishop of Bisarcio and auxiliary of the archdiocese of Guadalajara; he received episcopal ordination on 30 November 2021.
Within the Mexican Episcopal Conference, since 2024 he has ben responsible for the Episcopal Dimension for Life.

The Holy Father has accepted the resignation from the pastoral care of the diocese of Puerto Escondido, Mexico, presented by Bishop Florencio Armando Colín Cruz.
The Holy Father has appointed Bishop Héctor López Alvarado, until now titular of Sereddeli and auxiliary of the archdiocese of Guadalajara, as bishop of the diocese of Puerto Escondido, Mexico.
Curriculum vitae
Bishop Héctor López Alvarado was born on 13 December 1970 in Guadalajara, in the diocese of the same name. He studied in the seminary of Guadalajara and was ordained a priest on 19 May 2002. He was awarded a licentiate in dogmatic theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University o Rome.
He has held the following offices: parish vicar of various parishes, chaplain of the Marist Brothers, seminary formator, dean, parish priest of the parishes of María Madre del Redentor and Nuestra Sra. de Bugambilias, episcopal vicar of the vicariate of Ntra. Sra. del Rosario Toluquilla, and auxiliary of the Archdiocesan Centre for Television and Audiovisual Production.
On 2 February 2018, he was appointed titular tishop of Sereddeli and auxiliary of the archdiocese of Guadalajara; he was ordained a bishop on 21 April 2018.

The Holy Father has appointed Bishop Pierre Goudreault as bishop of Trois-Rivières, Canada, transferring him from the diocese of Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pocatière.
Curriculum vitae
Bishop Pierre Goudreault was born on 27 May 1963 in Rouyn-Noranda, Québec. He studied philosophy and theology at the University of Saint Paul in Ottawa, obtaining a doctorate in theology.
He was ordained a priest on 18 May 1991.
He has held the following offices: parish vicar in Malartic (1991-1994), also providing pastoral service in Cadillac and Rivière-Héva, parish priest of Malartic (1997-2002), moderator of Sainte-Trinité in Rouyn-Noranda (2002-2008), member of the Presbyteral Council (1997-2004) and the College of Consultors (1997-2008), diocesan animator of groups for sharing the faith, guide for seminarians and head of the pastoral leadership programme. After a year of university formation in Paris, in 2009 he returned to resume his role as moderator of Sainte-Trinité.
On 8 December 2017 he was appointed bishop of Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pocatière, Québec, receiving episcopal consecration on 10 March 2018.
Since 2025, he has served as president of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops.
