The Holy Father has accepted the resignation from the office of apostolic nuncio in Israel and apostolic delegate in Jerusalem and Palestine presented by Archbishop Adolfo Tito Yllana, upon reaching the age limit.

The Holy Father has appointed Archbishop Giorgio Lingua, titular of Tuscania, hitherto apostolic nuncio in Croatia, as apostolic nuncio in Israel and apostolic delegate in Jerusalem and Palestine.

Appointment of secretary of the Dicastery for the Clergy

The Holy Father has appointed Archbishop Carlo Roberto Maria Redaelli, hitherto archbishop of Gorizia, Italy, as secretary of the Dicastery for the Clergy.
