EUCHARISTIC CELEBRATION
AND PROCLAMATION AS “DOCTOR OF THE CHURCH”
OF SAINT JOHN HENRY NEWMAN

On 1 November 2025, Solemnity of All Saints, on the occasion of the Jubilee of the World of Education, at 10.30, on the parvis of Saint Peter’s Basilica, the Holy Father Leo XIV will preside over the Eucharistic Celebration and the rite of proclamation as “Doctor of the Church” of Saint John Henry Newman.

The Patriarchs and Cardinals who wish to concelebrate are requested to be present by 9.45 in the Chapel of Saint Sebastian in the Basilica, bringing with them their white damask mitre.

The Archbishops and Bishops who wish to concelebrate must obtain the relevant ticket from this Office by 28 October via the procedure indicated at https://biglietti.liturgiepontificie.va, and are requested to be present by 9.30 in the Chapel of Saint Sebastian in the Basilica, bringing with them their amice, alb, cincture and simple white mitre.

The Presbyters who wish to concelebrate, and the Deacons, must obtain the relevant ticket from this Office by 28 October via the procedure indicated at https://biglietti.liturgiepontificie.va, and are requested to be present by 9.00 at the Braccio di Costantino, bringing with them their amice, alb, cincture and white stole.

In accordance with the Motu Proprio “Pontificalis Domus”, the members of the Papal Chapel who wish to participate in the liturgical celebration without concelebrating must obtain the Notification, to be requested at celebrazioni@celebra.va by 28 October. They are all required to wear their own choral habit and be present on the parvis of the Basilica by 10.00, in order to take the places which will be indicated to them by the Pontifical Masters of Ceremonies.
