EUCHARISTIC CELEBRATION AND CANONIZATION

PAPAL CHAPEL

On 7 September 2025, 23rd Sunday of Ordinary Time, at 10.00, on the parvis of Saint Peter’s Basilica, the Holy Father Leo XIV will preside over the Eucharistic Celebration and the Rite of Canonization of Blesseds PIER GIORGIO FRASSATI and CARLO ACUTIS.

The following may concelebrate with the Holy Father:

- the Patriarchs and Cardinals, who are requested to be present by 9.30 in the Chapel of Saint Sebastian, bringing with them their white damask mitre;

- the Archbishops and Bishops, with the relevant ticket requested from this Office by 3 September via the procedure indicated at https://biglietti.liturgiepontificie.va, who should be present by 9.00 at the Braccio di Costantino, bringing with them their amice, alb, cincture and simple white mitre;

- the Priests, with the relevant ticket requested from this Office by 3 September via the procedure indicated at https://biglietti.liturgiepontificie.va, who should be present by 8.30 in the sector reserved for them in Saint Peter’s Square, where they will put on the amice, alb, cincture and white stole they have brought with them.

In accordance with the Motu Proprio “Pontificalis Domus”, the members of the Papal Chapel who wish to participate in the liturgical celebration without concelebrating should obtain the Notification, to be requested at celebrazioni@celebra.va by 3 September. They are all required to wear their own choral habit and be present on the parvis of the Basilica by 9.30, in order to take the seats that will be indicated to them by the Pontifical Masters of Ceremonies.
