The Holy Father has accepted the resignation from the pastoral care of the diocese of Chiquinquirá, Colombia, presented by Bishop Luis Felipe Sánchez Aponte.
The Holy Father has appointed Bishop Ramón Alberto Rolón Güepsa of Montería, Colombia, as bishop of Chiquinquirá, Colombia.
Curriculum vitae
Bishop Ramón Alberto Rolón Güepsa was born in Arboledas, in the metropolitan archdiocese of Nueva Pamplona, on 28 February 1959. He carried out his studies in theology and philosophy at the Santo Tomás de Aquino Archdiocesan Major Seminary. He was awarded a licentiate in philosophy from the Pontifical Gregorian University of Rome, in theology from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana of Bogotá, and in philosophy and religious sciences from the University of Pamplona.
He was ordained a priest on 8 December 1984, for the clergy of the metropolitan archdiocese of Nueva Pamplona.
He has held the following offices: parish vicar of San Juan Bautista, parish administrator of Mitiscua, vice rector of the minor seminary and delegate for vocational pastoral care, spiritual director of the minor seminary and formator of the major seminary, rector of the major seminary, and parish priest of San Juan Bautista in Chinácota.
On 27 October 2012 he was appointed as bishop of Montería, Colombia, and received episcopal ordination on the following 1 December.

The Holy Father has appointed the Reverend Fr. Nélio Pereira Pita, C.M., general assistant of the Congregation of the Mission in Rome, as auxilary bishop of the metropolitan archdiocese of Braga, Portugal, assigning him the titular see of Garba.
Curriculum vitae
Msgr. Nélio Pereira Pita, C.M., was born on 11 October 1973 in Estreito de Câmara de Lobos, on the Island of Madeira, diocese of Funchal, Portugal. He obtained a licentiate in theology from the Universidade Católica Portuguesa in Lisbon and in spiritual theology from the Universidad Pontifica Comillas in Madrid. He was awarded a master’s degree in clinical psychology from the Instituto Universitário de Ciências Psicológicas, Sociais e da Vida in Lisbon, and attended an advanced course in psychodynamic psychotherapy at the Portuguese Society of Clinical Psychology in Lisbon.
In 1999 he gave his religious vows as a member of the Congregation of the Mission (Vincentian Missionaries) and on 29 July 2000 he received priestly ordination.
He has held the following offices: director of the major seminary of the Portuguese province of the Congregation of the Mission (2003-2008), member of the International Seminar of Vincentian Studies (2014-2020), parish priest of Santo Tomás de Aquino in Lisbon (2008-2020), provincial visitor of the Portuguese province of the Congregation of the Mission (2020-2022), and member of the Order of Portuguese Psychologists and of the Portuguese Society of Clinical Psychology.
Since 2022, he has served as general assistant of the Congregation of the Mission in Rome.
