During the audience granted to His Eminence Cardinal Marcello Semeraro, prefect of the Dicastery for the Causes of Saints, the Supreme Pontiff authorized the same Dicastery to promulgate the Decrees regarding:

- the offering of life of the Servant of God Alejandro Labaka Ugarte (religious: Manuel), of the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin, titular bishop of Pomaria, vicar apostolic of Aguarico; born on 19 April 1920 in Beizama, Spain, and died on 21 July 1987 in the area of Tigüino, Ecuador;

- the offering of life of the Servant of God Inés Arango Velásquez (religious: Maria Nieves de Medellín), professed sister of the Congregation of the Capuchin Tertiary Sisters of the Holy Family; born in Medellín, Colombia on 6 April 1937 and died on 21 July 1987 in the area of Tigüino, Ecuador;

- the heroic virtues of the Servant of God Matteo Makil, titular of Tralle, first vicar apostolic of Kottayam, founder of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary; born on 27 March 1851 in Manjoor, India, and died on 26 January 1914 in Kottayam, India.
