This morning, at the end of the recitation of the Regina Caeli from the Loggia of Blessings, the Holy Father Leo XIV – in the presence of the Camerlengo of the Holy Roman Church, His Eminence Cardinal Kevin Joseph Farrell, the Secretary of State, His Eminence Cardinal Pietro Parolin, the Substitute for General Affairs, Archbishop Edgar Peña Parra, the Secretary for Relations with States and International Organizations, Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher, and the Regent of the Pontifical Household, Msgr. Leonardo Sapienza, reopened the papal apartment of the Apostolic Palace, removing the seals affixed on 21 April 2025 following the death of Pope Francis.
