This morning, 3 March, His Eminence Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Secretary of State of His Holiness, accompanied by His Excellency Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher, Secretary for Relations with States and International Organizations, received in audience the President of the Republic of Lithuania, His Excellency Mr. Gitanas Nausėda, who is participating in the national Jubilee pilgrimage.

During the cordial discussion, which took place at the Secretariat of State, satisfaction was expressed for the good and fruitful bilateral relations, highlighting the positive contribution of the Christian faith to Lithuanian society.

The parties focused on questions of a regional and international nature, with particular reference to the prospects for peace in Ukraine.
