The Holy Father has accepted the resignation from the pastoral care of the metropolitan archdiocese of Trujillo, Peru, presented by Archbishop Héctor Miguel Cabrejos Vidarte, O.F.M.
The Holy Father has appointed Bishop Gilberto Alfredo Vizcarra Mori, S.J., as metropolitan archbishop of the metropolitan archdiocese of Trujillo, Peru, transferring him from the titular see of Autenti and the office of vicar apostolic of Jaén en Perú o San Francisco Javier.
Curriculum vitae
Archbishop-elect Gilberto Alfredo Vizcarra Mori, S.J., was born on 11 February 1960 in Lima, Peru. He attended the Facultad de Teología Pontificia y Civil de Lima and the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos for the study of civil law. He entered the novitiate of the Society of Jesus and continued his studies in philosophy at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, and in theology at the Jesuit Faculty of Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
He was ordained a priest on 31 July 1994, and gave his vows in the Society of Jesus on 15 August 2001.
After ordination, he was awarded a licentiate in Arabic language in Cairo, Egypt (1994-1996), and served as a collaborator in vocational pastoral care of the Society of Jesus in Lima (1997-1998), and parish priest of San Pedro y San Pablo in Bitkine, in the apostolic vicariate of Mongo, Chad (1997-2000). He obtained a licentiate from the Pontifical Institute of Arabic and Islamic Studies in Rome (2001-2003), and went on to serve as parish priest of Saint Ignatius in the vicariate of Mongo, Chad (2003-2011), superior of his community (2005), founder and director of the Fe y Alegría project in Chad (2007-2011), parish vicar of Santa Teresa del Niño Jesús in Abeché, in the apostolic vicariate of Mongo (2012-2013), and spiritual director in the Colegio de la Inmaculada of Lima (2013-2014).
On 11 June 2014 he was elected titular bishop of Autenti and vicar apostolic of Jaén en Perú o San Francisco Javier, and received episcopal ordination on 15 August 2014.

The Holy Father has appointed Bishop Edward Joseph Weisenburger of the diocese of Tucson, United States of America, as metropolitan archbishop of Detroit, United States of America.
Curriculum vitae
Bishop Edward Joseph Weisenburger was born on 23 December 1960 in Alton, in the diocese of Springfield in Illinois. He studied philosophy at the Conception Seminary College in Conception in Missouri, and theology at the Université Catholique de Louvain in Belgium, and obtained a licentiate in canon law from Saint Paul University in Ottawa, Canada.
He was ordained a priest on 19 December 1987 for the metropolitan archdiocese of Oklahoma City.
He has held the following offices: parish vicar of Saint Mary in Ponca City (1987-1990) and of Saint Peter in Woodward (1990), vice chancellor and court official (1992-1996), parish priest of Holy Trinity in Okarche (1995-2002), vicar general (1996-2012) and rector of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cathedral (2002-2012).
He was appointed bishop of Salina, Kansas, on 6 February 2012, and received episcopal consecration the following 1 May. He was transferred to the see of Tuscon, Arizona, on 3 October 2017.

The Holy Father has accepted the resignation from the pastoral care of the diocese of Xochimilco, Mexico, presented by Bishop Andrés Vargas Peña.
The Holy Father has appointed Bishop Juan Maria Huerta Muro, O.F.M., until now bishop prelate of El Salto.
Curriculum vitae
Bishop Huerta Muro was born in Guadalajara, on 9 April 1962. He studied philosophy at the Franciscan seminary of Zapopan, Jalisco, and theology at the Instituto Franciscano de Teología in San Pedro Garza García, Nuevo Laredo. He was awarded a licentiate in civil law from the University of Tijuana.
On 10 April 1988 he gave his solemn vows in the Congregation of the Friars Minor Franciscan and on 1 July 1989 he was ordained a priest. He has served as provincial minister of the province of Blessed Fr. Junipero Serra, and episcopal vicar for consecrated life of the metropolitan archdiocese of Tijuana.
On 2 February 2012 he was appointed prelate bishop of El Salto, receiving episcopal ordination the following 2 May.

The Holy Father has appointed the Reverend Anthony Gerard Percy of the clergy of the archdiocese of Canberra and Goulbum, until now parish priest of Saint Gregory in Queanbeyan, assigning him the titular see of Appiaria.

Msgr. Anthony Gerard Percy was born on 8 April 1963 in Cooma, in the archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn and in the state of New South Wales.
He was ordained a priest on 14 December 1990 for the archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn.
After ordination, he held the following offices: parish vicar of Saint Mary in Young (1991-1994) and of Saint Gregory in Queanbeyan (1994-1997), parish priest of Our Lady Help of Christians in Ardlethan, of Sacred Heart of Jesus in Ariah Park and of Saint Therese’s in Barellan (1997-1999). He studied for a doctorate in theology and marriage at the Pontifical John Paul II Institute for Marriage and Family Studies at the Catholic University of America, United States (1999-2003), and went on to serve as parish priest of Mary Queen of the Apostles in Goulburn (2003-2009), rector of the Good Shepherd Seminary in Sydney (2009-2014), and vicar general of the archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn (2014-2023). Since 2023 he has been parish priest of Saint Gregory in Queanbeyan.
